I am installing a Norstar key system with a callpilot 100, Have progeammed an AA and CCR for calls to be roouted by press 1, 2, 3, etc. the call routes to the correct extension but will not cover to the voicemail after X rings. I have verified that internal calls do cover correctly, and help would be appreciated thanks

In the phone system you have to have call forward no answer and/or busy forward set to the main extension of the voice mail.

Thanks, I have done that and internal calls route correctly however, the incoming calls will not cover they just sit on the extension.

The Norstar family of phone systems do not recognize any difference between an intercom call or a line ringing at that phone, if you call that extension from an intercom path and it goes to voice mail the same scenario should happen when a call is ringing at that extension.

Thanks, I agree. My guess is the issue is when the incoming call comes in to the AA then the option from the CCR points it to the extension, the call pilot doesn’t know which mailbox to terminate it to. The incoming call is on a "trunk" and not a DID. Do i need to do something with DRT on the prime line to get it to transfer to the call pilot?

You said that the line keeps ringing at the extension, but check that DTR rings is set higher than FNA rings,or turn DTR off.

The call pilot is nothing more than an electronic operator that you have given instructions, if you told it to got to an extension xxx when pressing that digit the call is gone waiting for instructions from the phone system.

Gotcha, I will give that a shot. Thanks so much for the help.

check your Transfer call back timer..the call may be pulled back by set the Transfer call back timer to 12 rings before returning to AA or set to OFF.
