Hello All, This is my first actual post here but I've been lurking for a while and have learned alot from all of you. Anyways, I've got a Norstar MICS with a BST doorphone out at the front gate. The doorphone has been in for a few months now and I have been getting occasional reports from the security guards that they can see the person talking on the video but there is no audio. That said, does anyone know of any issues with these doorphones or is there a squelch/VOX adjustment somewhere? I've read every manual I've got and nothing...

Thanks!

they are usually pretty solid

I have had issues where the doorphone gets hung up in the system.

rebooting the entire system resets it obviously

Is the talk path between the doorphone and norstar phones always not heard or it is intermittent? Have you verified that handsfree and handsfree answer back is enabled on the doorphone port? If it is then you may want to try another port and re-test.

Thanks for the replies! I finally figured it out. Apparently the door phone is a half duplex device. The guards had the tv on so loud that it was breaking squelch on the guards end and blocking the audio from the gate. Thanks for all the comments though!
