Norstar/BCM Voicemail Features 986 & 980 on SIP Phones? 1

Greetings, I'm an E-MetroTel newbie having recently received my 1st UCX50e.

My questions are:
1.) Is there a way on the UCX to transfer a caller directly to a user's voicemail box without going through CFNA or CFB (the equivilent of Norstar "Feature 986" voicemail transfer) using a SIP phone.

2.) Is there a way on the UCX leave a message directly in a user's voicemail box without going through CFNA of CFB (the equivilent of Norstar "Feature 980" voicemail leave message) using a SIP phone.

Go to PBX - PBX Configuration - General Settings, look up the value of the field Direct Dial Voicemail Prefix (it will be either * or #*).

To transfer a call directly to voicemail, start an attended transfer, enter <direct dial voicemail prefix><extension> as the destination and complete the transfer. For example, if the prefix is #* and the extension is 250, you'd have to transfer the call to #*250.

To leave a message without calling the user, just call <direct dial voicemail prefix><extension>. For example, if the prefix is #* and the extension is 250, dialing #*250 would send you directly to the mailbox of the extension 250.

The direct dial voicemail feature works for SIP as well as Nortel phones.
