I'm sure the reason no one has answered your question is because no one has the time to teach you how to become Norstar technician, nor do they want to feel responsible if you do the wrong thing.
You either have an ancient 6/16 (Pancake) or a Compact ICS. There is no such thing as a Compact 6/16 but a Compact ICS can be configured for 6 lines and 16 phones.
Is there some reason that your vendor isn't doing those kind of programming changes for you?
There are a number of things to consider before changing line pools around and to be honest with you, you should always use a certified (or at the very least a qualified) Norstar tech when making any changes with the installer password.
