Norstar 308 DR5 Call log Calling Problem

Having trouble dialing from the log calls.
The Log is there with the number I want to dial but is not working.
I followed this instructions :

Call from Call Log

Dial Feat 812

You may find it helpful to place calls from within your Call Log.
Each stored caller number may vary according to the information
associated with that particular call. If the caller number involves a
or PBX system, the first few digits may need to be
“trimmed” to make the caller number dialable. If the number that
you want to call is long distance or uses line pool access, digits
may need to be added to the beginning of the number.
Place a call
1. Navigate to the log item for the number that you want to dial.
2. Display the number and edit it if necessary to make it
(the instructions for adding or trimming digits follow).
3. Press an external line or line pool button.
4. Lift the receiver. This is not necessary if Handsfree is
programmed at your telephone.
5. The displayed number is dialed.

Can someone please help ?
what is missing here ??
Any comments appreciated.

Can we have some clues?

In step 2, do you edit the number?
In step 3, do you press a line button, a line pool button or an Intercom button?

What happens when you reach step 5? Is there a message on the display?

If you were to dial the same number manually (without using the Call Log), how would you proceed?

Make sure your phone is primed to a line when you pickup handset or press Handsfree or you will need to insert the access code:
" If the number that
you want to call is long distance or uses line pool access, digits
may need to be added to the beginning of the number."

Wait guys, I just found out something new today.

The problem Iam having is that the number once is save, you cant dial it from the log.
Is this correct or is there a way to dial it.

I was able to dial from new answered call this moning, but not from the saved calls.

Comments appreciated.

UPDATE.
I THINK I FOUND THE PROBLEM.

INCOMMING CALLS THRU THAT WERE STORED WITH "222-222-2222" PARENTESIS. THERE WAS NOT ABLE TO DIALED.

THE ONES WITHOUT PARENTESIS DIALED OK.

STRANGE.

I think I have found your issue.

In order to dial a number from the Call Log, the actual number must be shown on the display. If the name of the caller, the line on which the call came in or the date and time of the call are shown on the display, nothing is dialed.

Also, the digits that are between parenthesis are not dialed. If the display shows "5678900 (234)", then only 567-8900 is dialed. If you need to dial the 10-digits number, you have to edit it.

[ol 1]
[li]Show the number on the display.
The display reads "5678900 (234)".[/li]
[li]Dial 234.
The display reads "234-5678900 (234)".[/li]
[li]Press a line button.
The display reads "2345678900" and the number is dialed.[/li]
[/ol]

Finally, it doesn't matter whether the call log item is new or old, it can be dialed anyway. Make sure the actual number is shown on the display.

I appreciate your comments but the problem appeared to be that :
Numbers with "222-222-2222" (parenthesis) were been forwarded to my main line
from another phone number and these will not dial from the call log.

Maybe someone can forward lines and try
it and let me know if am right.
