I have a line that is set to appear and ring on a set. It should never be answered by voicemail. On an incoming call after several rings the call will be answered by the voicemail box assigned to the individual line on the set. Does anyone have an idea what I have set up wrong? We do have an AA for answering other lines.

If I am reading this correctly....If a line is set to ring on any phone, and that phone is set to forward to voicemail, there is no way to avoid the voicemail picking up. You could set that line to appear only and then the VM would not answer it. If there is more to the question that I am missing, fill me in.

You can not make it that one line on a phone can go to VM and another not .It is the phone that goe's to VM .Anything that rings on a phone will follow the forwarding. You can make a Hunt Group and set the queing high so that the line rings and not follow forwarding.

Take the line off of the set and put it in hunt group and put that set in the hunt group also and make it appear and ring.
