Hello everyone!

I have a Norstar 0x32 and incoming calls are not ringing in the main 3 extensions.
We have lines 001,002,003,and 004 and extensions 221,222,and 223 should be able to answer these lines.
What is currently happening is that when a call is in progress for example on line 001 and a second caller is trying to reach line 001 the line does not show on the phones dysplay nor it rings.
The second caller trying to call on line 001 hears that it is ringing but nobody answering.
The receptionist on extensions 221,222, and 223 never heard a second call ringing in.
The same scenario happens on lines 002,003, and 004.

Thanks in advanced!

Sounds like provider has installed the lines with "Call Waiting" in lieu of cascading.

Test this:
If you have Call Waiting service you would hear the signal on the line that a call is coming in, press Feature 71 to answer/switchtoo that call and feature 71 again to switch back to first call.

Check with the carrier to see if your lines are Equivalent (Rollovers).

Hello again,

I was wondering, if the lines were transferred to the next available line pool before. I just tried it again dialing the main number at 001 and then on another cel dial the same number 001 and the line was rollover to the next line 002 after 12 rings on the second line calling in.
We also tried the feature 71 to toggle between lines and it worked. We were able to answer the second line beeping on the handset.
Would it be a setting to minimize the waiting time to automatically transfer to another line if line 001 is busy?
Meanwhile we will be contacting the provider to see if at their end they have the lines using call waiting or rollover.

Thanks again!

Sounds like they are not Equivalent (Rollovers) but instead there is not only Call Waiting but also a Forward No Answer of sorts.
Look for star codes for your provider, maybe you can at least change the ring count from 12 to something like 3 or 4.

Poor mans setup either way by the sounds of it.

Hello Curlycord!

On the system programming I changed the DRT Delay to 3 and it still takes long to rollover to the other available trunk line (002,003,004) Is that "Star codes" on the Norstar? or is something on their end?

Thanks!

Star codes on the trunks which are features provided by your carrier.

Best to make sure the remove all call waiting (beeps) and make the lines a rollovers

I will check if the client called the provider to make sure all lines are equivalent rollover instead of call waiting.

Thanks!

The pool lines had the call waiting by the phone provider. They removed the call waiting and now every line works fine. It rolls over to the next available line.
