Hi,

I'm currently evaluating Norming Asset Management 5.4 with Accpac 5.4.
The setup checklist for Norming mentions Templates are optional.
However when trying to actually enter an asset into the system a dialog window pops up: Method cannot be blank, depreciation period cannot be blank, life cannot be blank.

If I configure a template with exactly those information in the template it works fine.
Problem is, if I wanted to use templates I had too create too many of them which doesn't serve the purpose...

Any help appreciated!

Cheers!

You still don't need them. But method, depreciation, and life can't be blank.

Hi,

sorry, forgot to mention - when I'm not using the template I fill in the values for method, life and depreciation manually of course.

The message pops up even though the fields are not blank.

You must be missing something else, I can add assets without using a template. Do you have the latest Norming Assets service pack installed?

Thanks....it was the method, life and depreciation on the tax tab that was missing.
I was assuming what is entered on the book tab also goes into the tax tab....

Hi,

is there a way I can disable the tax tab under asset details or have the figures from the book tab copied automatically?
It will always be the same as in the book tab?

Cheers!
