Hi,

I'm running Norming Asset Management 5.4 SP4 with Accpac 5.4.

Assuming I have 1 table and 2 chairs which belong together but each one of them got a separate barcode with the serial number.

What is the best way to capture this information in Asset Manager?
I can either create 3 different assets and make the chairs components of the table or create 1 asset for the table and add the chairs as units?

What is the difference between both solutions? Are they processed different somehow by the asset manager?

Any help appreciated....
Cheers!

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
I sent an email to norming and they said I create 1 asset with 3 separate units.
In the end it probably doesn't matter as I still can't see the difference between master - component and units....
