Non-VIA Athlon motherboard?

Hi there,

I have just bought a new pro-audio soundcard - WAMI rack 24/96 by ego-systems

The sound card manufacturers say AMD processors are OK, but to steer clear of the VIA chipsets

Does any one know of any motherboards I can use with my AMD Athlon900mhz processor, that are not using VIA technology

You might want to try the AMD 761 chipset. Epox make one, I think it is the 8K7A+.

I wonder if the person who said that was referring to the problem with VIA's KT133A chipset and SB Live! cards? I've ECS's K7VZA mo'board and an SB Live! Value -- and I do have problems once in awhile.
