Non-microsoft patched with sms 2003

Yes non-ms patches can be pushed with sms, you would do this the same way you would push software through SMS to client machines.
You can push just about anything through sms but that said not all installations can be installed without a users input. (thats not SMS, that is poorly written install processes from vendors(also know as Adobe products
)
