I've got a Lotus 5.0.8 db running on NT. I have a one user.id file that cannot gain access to certain 'views' within a particular db, I receive 'invalid or nonexistant document'. Also, in other db's I receive the message 'view by xxxx does not exist'. Just with this id. This id has been setup with manager level access across all the db's within the system.
I thought it might be a corrupted view, but the issue is not machine specific. I can duplicate regardless of the machine. It's something to do with the id.?

Also, this type of issue seems to appear with user's created after I updated the system to 5.0.8.

I can't say I have the answer on this, just a stab in the dark. Have you tried recertifying the user.id file? It sounds like it is older than the 5.0.8 install, perhaps that will correct things. Also, if it is a specific view, have you looked at the view to see what access is special to it above others (if any)?

I've recertified the id and the problem persists.
I am new to lotus and this db specifically. Where would I track down the actual view information for that db?

Another "stab in the dark" : are there any roles in the databases ACL that the manager does not have ?
