I have a user that has created a graph using CR8.0. The graph is a line chart and it displays shipments, the report is grouped by shipping date, per month.
If a month is missing, such as February, the graph draws a line from the January total to the March total. The user wants the line to start at January, go to 0 for February and back up to March. Is there a way to do this? First, I know why it's doing it this way, because there is no data for February. Is there a function or a way the change the query to include every month, not just the months with shipments?

Create a table with the months and do an outer join to the data, so that you always have a record for each month.

Alternatively, use a UNION query as the data source for the report adding a dummy records with zero shipped quantity for each month.

Hi

If you can't add a table or modify the data then in the online documentation on the Crystal Decisions site there is an alternative method which is self-contained, but AFAIR it is rather long-winded, search for cr_date_time_samples
