Anyway to configure Exchange Server 2003 to reject messages destined to non mail-enabled objects?

Would save me a lot of hassle. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

You have an option in the global organisation-delivery I believe to perform an AD lookup at connection time (you have then to active the filter on the Virtual SMTP server).

Any server trying to send a mail to a SMTP address not know to your AD will see the connection closed. The mail does not enter your organisation.

See Here : and select "filter recipient not in directory"

Recipient Filtering does that. But you also want to enable tarpitting to avoid a brute force attack.
