Hi

We have an issue of disturbing noise and low level using headset on 94xx phones. It is always from the microphone side (transmit) The sound in the earpiece of the headset seems ok

Since the customer is a hospital with several hundreds of digital phones, this headset problem results in a lot of complains from the users. We have tried different headsets, all of them are so called high quality headsets from Jabra, Sennheiser and Plantronics

The same headset used om IP-phones (9608 and J-series)have no noise-problems. CM is on rls 8

Is there anyone experiencing the same problem, or any good advices? I have done all sorts of adjustments both on the phone and the heaset, used both the plain cabel and the recomended EHS-cable

Thanks

This is a known issue. You're probably running a low FW release like FW2 - FW6. Update the FW to the latest FW20 for 9408.

The headset interface is different between digital (94xx) and IP (9600/J100) so use different interface cables. If you use the wrong one, you will get low transmit volume.

Hi
