I've been rebuilding a PC for a friend. Got the OS installed (XP), got all the updates done. Got all her software back on, but now the monitor is telling me to check the PC. It's a KT600-AL board, PowerColor Radeon 7000 RV6DL-A2C Video Card, 1 stick of RAM. When I turn on the computer all I get is fans/HDD spinning. NO BEEPS. Nothing making a single sound no matter how much/how little I have plugged in. MB light is on. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Just a little additional info. I found around my place another MB. Tried it out, same thing. NO VIDEO. Any ideas?

The video card might have died.

Have you tried swapping out the video card? That's where I would start. If you don't have a spare card lying around, does the mobo have on-board video? You can test it with that.

Also (If on-board video is the case), try plugging the monitor into the on-board video slot instead and seeing if you get video. If so, boot into BIOS and turn OFF the on-board video card and then try booting with the monitor plugged into your ATI video card.

Hope that gives you a start.

You say that you get no beeps. Are you sure that the speaker is connected correctly? You should get some sort of post beep out of the mobo. Have you changed any jumpers on the mobo?
