Hi,

Okay. Using Flash MX on a G4 running OSX.

On program launch returns the error 'An unknown error occurred while accessing an unnamed file' (I just LOVE that message - soooo helpful).

Program continues to load okay, and everything seems fine until you go to either 'Publish' or 'Publish Settings'. Then we get the 'No valid HTML templates are available to complete this operation' error and will not publish.

Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling (although I get the feeling i may be missing some prefs somewhere - any help on clearing out flash entirely would be useful).

Anyone come across this one before?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like the template files used by Flash to hold a published movie have been moved. There's a directory in the Flash folder which has a bunch of different HTML templates for the different types of publishing you can perform (with FScommand, detect v5 player etc) which you will probably have to reinstall off the Flash disk.

In the meantime you can uncheck 'HTML' in the publish setting s and your app should publish the swf files okay.

Thanks for the swift reply.

Have checked the HTML folder and it's in the correct place and contains several HTML files (as I understand it these aren't actually HTML files, they just have the .htm suffix).

Unfortunately, I can't get into my publish settings to untick the HTML flag, as the 'No valid HTML templates' displays before the settings window opens up.
