Hi,

I'm going to redo my patch cabinet and want to do the avaya patches in the same go.
Before I do this I decided to do a test run on my own phone to see how it would go, now i'm face with the following situation.
I patched my phone from the current port to an currently empty port on the avaya module, I logged in to IpOffice and changed my extension from the one to the other
(from Module BD1 Port 4 to Module 1 Port 17) now when I look on my phone I do see my extension number but it says no user.

I know I must be missing a step somewhere but I have no idea what.

Any help be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Max van Eden.

No User means that either there is not a users that corresponds to the Extn. number allocated to the port or that the user is not logged on

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

try this dial *35* your extension number* log in code for phone then # you should hear a tone, now look at system status it should show the same 2 extensions 1 for the user and 1 for the extension and they should match

Because you were logged into a phone on a different port that user will stay on that port until you login on another port - even though you changed the base extension.

So

Base of 200 and a user logged in of 200 means that when you then move the base extension to another port you havent moved the actual user. To move the user you either need to reboot or as above login this user to the new port.

Thanks all, the *35* your extension number* log in code for phone then # did the trick.
