No signal being sent to monitor, and no indication from motherboard.

I tried turning on my computer and nothing showed up on the screen. Everything appears to turn on properly but no signal is sent to the monitor. First I tried a second monitor, and that didn't work. Next I tried a different video card, and that didn't work. At that point I couldn't think of anything else that would make it unable to send a signal to the monitor, the only bizarre thing was that the hd light wasn't working. I went out and got a new motherboard processor and ram, and still nothing is showing up on the monitor. I have no idea what it could be. The only other thing I could think of was a different hard drive, but even if that was broken the bios ought to show up. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Test motherboard outside of the case. Mobo, CPU, memory (one stick), keyboard, and video. See if this will post.

Does it beep at all when you try to start it? Also see if the keyboard lights are functional. (Do they initialize normally, and can you toggle them?) If possible, test both video cards in another computer. It's unlikely but possible that they're both bad. Maybe try another power supply; maybe it isn't getting enough power.

Good idea, micker. The case could be causing some problem.

The motherboard doesn't make any noise, and the keyboard lights do work. I've ordered a new power supply because thats the only thing that makes sense to me right now.

A bit late now but you should have tried the power supply first.
I'm betting you have a cheap generic PSU that was supplied with your case?
This symptom most often indicates a bad PSU (one of the power rails having failed)
Same symptom sometimes points to a bad CPU (but you've already changed that)
There is also the chance of incorrect motherboard fitment, the possibility that you have a brass standoff mounting post in the wron place shorting the board to ground.

I did try it out of the case so it looks like the psu is the only thing left that makes any sense. The psu was made by antec, and as far as I know thats a pretty good company. Even if I didn't need a new computer it doesn't hurt to have one. Thanks for your help guys. If the new psu doesn't work perhaps I'll be back.

Do you have a video card with both analog and digital outputs? Does your monitor accept both? Try using the analog video connection. We have a bunch of Gateways with NVIDIA video cards, and if you download the NVIDIA driver from Windowsupdate, you no longer get any video through the digital connection, but the analog connection works if you try it.
