No run option

I have a Windows 2000 pro workstation that does not have a "run" option where there is ordinarily a "start, run" from the start menu. The user is an admin but the option is not there. I have also tried to log onto as admin to no avail. Any ideas?

i not at my windows 2000 pc now but i think if you right click on the start menu, select properties, there should be some options for display run, display log off,...

If there is one there I cannot find it.
