I am trying to install a new harddisk, but in the boot it says

"Warning: No root disk controller was found"

It is a Hitashi Ultrastar 320 SCSI HD. ID=2

CD-rom has ID=3

What can be wrong?

Please Help

Benny

Which flavor of *nix ?
What mean new harddisk: replacement or additional ?

It is a replacement. The old HD is defect, and I have to install all sco unix from the start.

I have just taken the old Harddisk out and putted a new one in.

So, you have to know which SCSI hosts adapter you have.
Seems you must have a BTLD disk with a driver for this adapter.
BTW, which sco unix (OpenServer or UnixWare) and which version ?

Hope This Help
PH.
