Hi Everybody,

Just like a previous post in here, we upgraded, but from 11.0.4.8 to 11.1.3.1 now there is no dial tone.
We get the exact same error in the logs [WavSource.cpp:79] error openinng file /opt/ipoffice/tones/dan/dial.wav"
and also with [WavSource.cpp:79] error openinng file /opt/ipoffice/tones/dan/stutterdial.wav"

We have tried giving full permission on the folder and file for everyone.

user "IPO Thomas" started the last thread, but no solution was provided.
Does anyone know how I can contact this person, or of a fix ? :)

Best Regards

It's a Server Editiom, how did you manager the upgrade process? From 11.0 to 11.1 you can't go straight

Assume you have checked the file exists, but it sounds like permissions to me. ls -lrt the files in that directory and the folders above.

The files are there and work, we can download and play then. Also tried replacing it with a custom wav using Avaya standard 8khz - mono - less than 90 seconds etc.
the directory path in the log is also correct.
With permissions we gave it CHMOD 777, didn't change anything, the error in the log still comes :(

chmod 777 will give read, write and execute rights to the current user. Not doubting your ability but always good to have a second opinion - can you output the file list? That error points to the file not being accessible for whatever reason, non existent or not accessible.

Feel free to doubt, I know barely anything about linux [afro2] just enough to get around.
We had to pull back to version 11.0.4.8, as the end users would complain.

chmod 777 should give everyone full rights tho :)
We tried it on the folder, and file.

but we will try upgrading again soon, and whatever tips & trick for troubleshooting this is very much appreciated.
as we will end in the same situation again, following the same Avaya guide :(

We tried changing owner on dial.wav to ipoffice, but it made no difference.
All files on the 11.0.4.8 installation in /opt/ipoffice/tones/dan/* have root as owner. And are the same on 11.1.
Wouldn't think vmpro should have anything to do with these files, as these are only accessed from the phones them self.

Since you are on 11.0.4.8.
If you perform a new install of 11.1.3.1 you should be able to restore your backups without issue.
Only takes about an hour to install it as new. Bypass the upgrade process.

Thank you, we will do that. [bigsmile]
And thank you everyone for your help [love2]
