No ring tone after upgradeing to 1.4

Word of warning, we have just upgraded a 403 unit from 1.3 to 1.4, after some time we started to experinece strange ring tones on incoming calls, i.e instead of the physical phone ringing for a second it would only ring for half a second.

After a little time longer the phone would not ring at all so the only way you knew that a call coming in was when phone manger popped, however if you picked to phone up sure enough a call would be there. This effected both internal and external calls. A reboot of the system would cure it for a while.

We have downgraded back to 1.3 and this has fixed the problem. Avaya are looking at this and think it is related to the message waiting lamp.
 
We have found and have Avaya that there are some problems when upgrading from 1.3 to 1.4. this is to be resolved in the new release of 1.4 yet to come out. he temp fix is unfortunatly to defualt the unit upgrade it to 1.4 and then re- write the cfg from scratch!! how annoying

We have also seen this strange no-ring behavior when going from version 1.3 to 1.4.

Also, group members of a hunt group don't get VM message notification in Phone Manager when a voice mail message is left in that hunt group. Not sure how to fix this.

Clearly, Avaya and their developer in the UK like to introduce problems/bugs in software upgrades. Upgrade with the understanding you will be frustrated out of your mind with subtle bugs.
