No Ring Back dialing DID number 1

Extension works, DID works, however when forwarding to cell from extension and dialing DID number I get no ring back tone.

Here is what I've done so far. I've outed the TN and created a the new extension on the same TN. Outed that when that did not work and did a cpy 1 of a working TN. Still doesn't ring back when dialing DID number having it forward to cell. When dialing cell directly I get ring back, when dialing xtension directly I get ring back.

I changed the forward to my cell phone and do not get ring back either. Same provider.

Other 3903's on same card work just fine. We use IDC tables for DID numbers instead of programming on keys.

I know I'm missing something obvious, but what do I do next?

I see you have it set to dial 7 and the number??
 
Do you have the right number programmed on the CFW key? A wrong number may not give ring back.

Does the call go through??
You said you get "no ring back", but does your cell actually ring and call complete when you answer the phone?
 
Yep we have to dial 7 to get outside line and yep its the correct cell number. I tried changing the cfw number to my cell with the same results.
 
Yep the call goes through with silence to the caller. Cell phone rings just like it should but caller never hears "Ring Back" just silence.
 
Have you tried to forward a call to a Land line instead (ie. home phone) and see if you get ring back?
 
No haven't tried that, but I will.
 
Also just for the hell of it, try adding a # to the CFW and also make it CFW 9

i would look at the d channel msg, the give ringback command should be from the cell provider not the switch.

you say other sets on the same card work.. do they work to the same cell... i know my cell provider is trash on protocol.. dial a number, hit send.. you may not get ringback at all or you get nothing for 30 seconds then one ringback...

have not tried phones on same card to that cell phone. Will try that today while i'm onsite.

It signals the end of Dial. Probally wont effect anything but it won't hurt to try.

adding the # did not make a difference however forwarding to a land line did. I heard ring back.

I'm getting reports of the same issue from another building of mine, same cell provider.

could it be prefix related? Most of my users when not in the office forward. I've got three people who this happens to. All three with different prefixes, two different cell providers same PBX.

This is not usually a PBX problem as the ring back tone is provided by the Cell Vendor.
