Hello,

I've never had trouble connecting with PCAnywhere (modem), but one my computers can't interact with the remote pc at work. My other computer at home connects/runs just fine, but this one gets a frozen desktop (no reponse to keyboard or mouse) and if I try to change any on-line options I get the "host is not responding". Sometimes I lose the connection immediately after connecting. I don't see the problem. Using PCAnywhere is usually pretty simple.

Any Ideas?

I had this problem once.
I don't know what was causing it.
Try installing windows again.
Thats what i did and the problem solved.

Thanks for answering. I was able to fix the problem by removing the modem and letting Windows find it and reinstall the drivers. I think my tweaking to improve internet speeds had screwed something up.

Anyway, it works and I'm getting DSL on Monday.
