I have a user who swears that he logged in on Friday evening After 5:30pm to be told he had no new messages. However when he logged back in later that evening he was told he had 5 new messages, when he checked the times that the messages were received it was prior to the 5:30pm login. I checked the activity log for his ext and I dont show where he logged in at 5:30pm. Can anyone let me know if they have any idea on what could be the problem?

Many times I have found users trying to cover their #$$ by insisting the system wasn't working correctly, and that is why they were late for work, or didn't get the message to come in early for a meeting or whatever. Usually when I print out a copy of the 'display activity' log and take it in to a meeting with their supervisor I don't even have to say anything, they usually come clean or come up with another lame excuse.
 
I have to agree with this, however, if you have a CDR system you can double-check the logs to see if they really did dial the voicemail system or not.
