Good afternoon people, just got a weird one for you......

Using an old ( 5 yrs + ) IBM server with NT4 + Spk6a on it. Has been fine for yrs and still is but there is no longer a network icon in control panel !! Don't know when / why this happened but I'm desperate to get in there to change some settings. Any ideas how to recreate the icon / get in the back door ?

Thanks for your help..........

John

Search for ncpa.cpl in the system32 folder. If its not there you can copy from another server or run: expand d:\i386\ncpa.cp_ c:\winnt\system32\ncpa.cpl
from the I386 directory. If it is there it could possibly be hidden by a policy.

Worked first time.......thanks alot, you got me out of a bloody deep hole !

Thanks again,

John
