Hello all,

I have a WSS 2361 that will not serve up a custom portal page. The default page works without any problem, but users trying to load the custom page get a 404 file-not-found error on their browser. In the 2361 log I see this…

WEBVIEW Sep 02 15:08:50.097003 ERROR WEBVIEW: web_create_html: Error in login page. Could not find action="" in the form. Client cannot perform a secure POST for credentials

I have tried the unaltered page generated right from the 2361, the path to the page in the service-profile being the only difference, and I get the same error. I’ve also tried a page that is working without problem on a 2380 at another site, same result.

We are running Mobility System Software, Version: 4.1.14 REL. I’ve been told an upgrade is available, but it is just not in the budget.

Any suggestions, hints, ideas?

Thanks,

Lyle.

JeroeNortel,

Thanks for the tip. This did fix the issue of the page not loading, however, I now have a new problem.

In trying to authenticate to the WSS, I get this error in the browser...

" Error associated with data posted from page : httpd/htdocs/wba/wba_login.html

Unable to find a function in: username "

There is nothing posted to the log file on the WSS.

Do you know where I can find the HTML for a working page? I've looked at several pages from diferent boxes here and they are all subtly different, and, of course, none of them work.

Thanks again for your help!

Lyle.

Hi Lyle,

I'm not sure what the cause of the error is. Maybe there are some parameters missing within the page you're using which is causing the error.
I did encounter these problems too after upgrading :-(

You could try to use the original Nortel web-page and build you own within this page. The default page can be found in the WSS its directory.
If there is none, you can retrieve the default Nortel page by setting the WSS back to its factory default. Make sure you save anything you want to keep.

Try to use this setup and see how it works.

Regards
