We are using a PLX9030 chip on our own manufactured card.
We want to do PCI burst read cycles, running a X86 architecture PC platform with SIS630 chipset.

Burst read cycles do not work; burst write cycles are OK.
The PLX knowledge base claims that pci burst reads are NOT possible on MOST ;-( PC platforms.

Now, we have 20 VERY expensive not-functional boards....
The word MOST in the PLX knowledge base strikes me. Does anybody know what chipset supports burst PCI reads? What secret bits do we have to set?

Thank you in advance,

I believe that most modern motherboards support PCI burst mode. I couldn't find much information on the chipsets you specify - and this is a bit beyond my normal specialist areas, but I hope some of this is useful;
