I cannot find another thread on this topic anywhere. I am trying to Copy/Paste an image from Excel, like I have done hundreds of times, but for some reason I no longer have a paste option. This became a problem after a user purged the clipboard through Photoshop. I have already tried deleting the setting file for photoshop, and uninstalling/reinstalling photoshop. IS there anything I can do?

hi nickc11,

If you purge the clipboard, what is on the clipvoard is thrown away. If you want to have something else on your pasteboard go back to your excel file select something copy it and then again go to photoshop to paste. I triede it and it worked without a hassle

hope this helps

What did the user actually do to purge the clipboard?

Have you tried to paste somewhere else, like M/S Word?

The clipboard was purged to get rid of what was on it, but now, the paste option does not show up in photoshop regardless of whether there is anything in the clipboard. I can select copy in excel, then go to Photoshop, and paste is not available. However, if I go to, say, imageready or MS Paint, the paste option works fine.

might be silly but are you selecting the cell or the contents??

does it do the same if you paste into word??

can you get it out of word into photoshop?

No, I cannot paste from any application into Photoshop. It is actually a graph in excel that I am trying to bring over. I cannot copy/paste from MS Paint either. I can paste into ImageReady and then go to photoshop, but when I do that, it only takes 1/4 of my excel graph. When I used to paste into Photoshop, it would paste the whole thing.
