No Multi-users but MSJet says that someone else is using the file??!! 1

I have a backend db that I have copied to my laptop for development and upgrades.&nbsp;&nbsp;When trying to make a copy of the main table, or even to export to another file, the process stops and tells me that another user is trying to access the same record.&nbsp;&nbsp;I even went so far as to delete all of the front end so that nothing could be left to lock the page.&nbsp;&nbsp;I even tried setting to Exclusive on the open options, but it is still happening.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any help is greatly appreciated.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks<br><br>jp1<br><A HREF="mailto:jpaway47@aol.com">jpaway47@aol.com</A>

for those of you who could not help, I have found my problem on my own.&nbsp;&nbsp;I will divulge the secret just in case someone else has the problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;It all stemmed from a corrupted memo field.&nbsp;&nbsp;I had to open the table, hand write all of the other info to re-enter later, and delete the offending record.&nbsp;&nbsp;After that everything worked just fine.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hope no one else has this problem, but here is the answer if it happens<br><br>jp1
