Hi,

If I understand correctly, in SQL Server Management Studio Express I should be able to go to:

Object Explorer -> dbl click Management, right click Maintenance Plans and then start the Maintenance Plan Wizard.

When I get to the Management folder though, I only have SQL Server Logs and Activity Monitor.

Am I missing something here? Do I need to install something else to get this functionality?

And Express also lacks a job scheduler (Agent). So you would not be able to schedule an execution of a maint plan.

Hey Ola,

Thanks for the link! It looks pretty complicated and may be outside my abilities to implement, I honestly don't know how to go about it. Nonetheless, I'm gonna upgrade the db to SP2 and give it a shot...
