I am trying to learn legato so i have it installed to redhat, however, i do not have a jukebox. Is there a way setup legato to backup to disk instead of tape?? Thanks

Just create a new directory. Then create a new device of the type "file" (or "advanced file", which i do not recommend for a newbie) and enter the absolute path name as device name.
That's it.

Can you please give me an example how that is done? Thanks

Creating the directory:

# mkdir /nsr/file
#

Creating the file device from the command line (the GUI would be a problem ;-) :

# nsradmin -s server
NetWorker administration program.
Use the "help" command for help.
nsradmin> create type: NSR device; media type: file; name: /nsr/file
type: NSR device;
name: /nsr/file;
media type: file;
Create? y
created resource id 18.0.148.7.6.247.37.71.194.154.76.8(1)
nsradmin> q

Now you can use the nwadmin GUI to label & mount the media. Look in the Device menu.
