I need to print a large quantity of glossy labels. I have sourced the label material I require, but on initial tests with my Epson 5000 Pro it will not pick up single sheets, usually three at a time. The machine has always worked well on a variety of materials, I have tried the usual things, fannning the material, loading the sheets one at a time on top of each other etc. but I cannot resolve the problem. I did try the material on another machine I had which was an Epson Sylus 1200, this is a top loader gravity fed I presuume, the material fed ok however the jets are finished on this machine. I am willing to purchase a new machine for this project and would like some advice. I want a fast machine for printing black only at A4 360/720 dpi that has a feed mechanism that will handle the material without the above problems. Any help would be much appreciated ( I live in the UK)

sound like the labels are sticking to each other. But if you can bring your material to a local printer supplier, I would asked to use their machines to test, because if you plan on trying a printer, it will cost alot of money if you end up getting the wrong printer.

I am partial to solid ink technology from Xerox. You might want to goto their website to find some one close to you.
