(i apologise ahead of time for spelling and gramer mistakes.. i am in a hurry to type this befor i go to class..)
on my network i had 3 computers. a Dell(desktop), a e-matchene(desktop), and a tochiba(laptop). the e machene died(water) and so i bought a HP(desktop). the dell has a linksys with speedboster.. and the tochiba, i have no clue. the e machene had a linksys w/o speedboster. all of them workd fine.. but now i have an hp, and i tryed to install the pci first.. no luck at all for the first few weeks then it finaly notices the network but the network dosnt notice it.. i acheved this by typing the ip adress manualy. after giveing up on that network card i bought a usb one(linksys) with the linksys i can access the network, my other computers can access the hp's files. the hp on the other hand cannot conect to the internet, or access other files on the other coputers.
ive tryed to remove the codecs and uninstall teh software and install the software first and then install the usb but still dosnt work. ive tryed renameing the network and i am not useing any securaty. the ssids are the same one all computers.
also on the hp i can only get network connection with linksys software using the xp's to find networks dosnt work at all..
currently i am useing manual ip's on the hp only the tochiba and the dell have automatic ip's and both can connect to the inter net.
