No GRAPHICS !!!!

I have a Mac, running pagemaker 5.0 & 6.5. I have computer hooked up to a HP5000 laser printer. Everything print out great when running 5.0, but I run 6.5 it will not print the graphics. Would someone please advise what the problem is.

Can you be more specific?
What error message do you get?
Does paper come out of the printer?
Is the text as expected?
What format are the graphics?
Do you have the correct PPD?

BigJohn, thanks for replying. The graphics are in jpeg format. The sheets printout out of HP5000, but from PM 6.5 the graphics donot print. It prints a rectangle with and X inside of it. It even does that when I use some kind of clipart.

Ah! I'm not 100% au fait with PM Mac, but click File -> Print and make sure "Proof" is UNchecked.

PS: Avoid JPGs, TIFFs are superior in the world of print.

I unclicked the proof but. Now no graphic whats so ever prints. Just type prints

Which PPD are you using?
In the "option" section, have you selected "Normal" for "Send image data"?

Can you create PDF?

What happens if you create a new PM publication with just one page and place the graphic on that page and print it?

When I put the gtraphic on a page on it's own it still doesnot print.

In option: I set Send Image Date: Normal
Data encoding: asc11 image data & send binary image data. Both ways still no graphic. This only happens on my HP5000 gn. I use the HP5000gn for a CTP plate maker. I also use a brother 1440 and everything prints out great in either 5.0 and 6.5

You now have to suspect the HP5000 printer driver.
