Hi

I have two S8500B + CM3 + G650 + TN799 + TN2602 connected with an IP Trunk. When I call from a 4601+ on Switch A to a 4601+ on switch B, I press the dialpad for DTMF but the user on Switch B cannot hear the DTMF tones.

If I call for an anlagoue phone on switch A to a 4601+ on switch B the user on switch B will hear the DTMF tones.

My signalling group is set ot In-band and I have tried out-band aswell.

Please help?

thanks

This is normal, Medpro doesn't provide DTMF tones to IP Phones.

Try changing the 'Calls share IP Signaling Connection' on the IP Trunk Signaling Group form to 'y'.

Hi

thansk for tips. 4merAvaya, did that no luck.

This could be a serious problem for me.

We had the same problem and escalated the fault to Avaya. They resolved this issue with a software patch.

AvayaEng,

check the "dtmf over ip" field for the signaling group used for this trunk, it should be set to "out-of-band". also it wouldn't hurt to set "intra-system ip dtmf transmission mode" to out-of-band to make sure it isn't lost during codec conversion.

Hi dwalin.

In intra-system ip dtmf transmission mode I have in-band or RTP-Payload only.

thanks
