Has this suddenly started happening?
Is the monitor plugged in to the mains AND the server (sorry, standard idiot question )
Is the graphics card correctly seated in the server?
How do you know it boots up if there's no display?
(not as facetious as it reads - just because the disks are checked doesn't necessarily mean the machine has booted)
What happens if you change the graphics card?
Power up the monitor a couple of minutes before you turn on the server, turn the brightness and contrast wayy up, so you will see anything that goes on. Then, turn on the server, you should see some POST messages, these are generated using the most lowly of vga driver signals. If you see nothing but the "snow" from having you're brightness up too high, and the server appears to go through a boot process (watch the drives...)you have a bum monitor, or a display adapter in you're box that's bad. Hope this helps...
Put a floppy inside the drive and see if that is accessed, if it is, you will know for sure if there is POST on the system. That is the easiest way to find out. Good luck.
