no dial tone

Dear folks,
We have 61C PBX(meridian)
some of TN not showing dial tone when create a new extension.
what is the reason ?
kindly advice

Yes, so many extension are working on that cards and when i check the stat is showing idle but no dial tone, i disabled and enable unit but nothing happens.
 
I would disconnect the two wires at the telephone system and plug in a phone to rule out any wiring issues. Also test the wiring to check that it's OK to the socket.

I have had this happen more than once. We have a pretty big cs1000 - 81c. i have had several of the RF filters on the back of the IPE module fail. it looks like a silver coupler. the rainbow cable comes off the back-plane and plugs into the silver RF filter. then you tail plugs into the RF filter and goes to the wall(MDF). bypass the filter and see if you get dial-tone at your MDF. I have also seen where the rainbow cable was not all the way pushed onto the back-plane connector. You can still get new RV filters.
 
before digging in to far have you tried another FALC card???
