We replaced a IPO500 for a IPO500 V2 R11.0.4.0.0 and used the excisting cards and modules.

We have a DIGSTA8/BRI8 in slot 2 and in slot 3. A Phone2 in slot 4 and a VCM32 in slot 5, and there are 2 Analog30V2 modules used.
We now have the problem on the digitals and analog ports in the IPO500V2 unit don't give a dial tone. You can make a call to a digital phone, it rings, you can answer on the digital phone, but then you get a beep tone on the caller site.
As a work around we placed a Digital16V2 module and this is working correctly. Also the analog ports on the Analog30 modules work correctly.

We tried another IPO500 V2 unit, but the same happens. Anyone has any idea what is wrong?

What model of handsets?

What version was everything on before you swapped the chassis?

ACSS (SME)

Are the modules running on the right firmware (I would think they do, but better check this)..

They are on the right firmware. I checked and double-checked.

Read the release notes!

5410 handsets are not supported and have not been supported since V10.0!

I do know that the 54xx series works in R11 SP2 but that they acquire a 1 in the time on the display if they sit idle for to long. You just need to pick up the handset and return it for this to go away. But they do work other than that, but they are not supported as IPGuru told you.

I do have an IPO500v2 with 11.2 and 5410 runnng just fine.

But, as far as I read here, 11.4 sucks.

Try to downgrade to 11.2

Handsets still documented as Unsupported so expect erratic & problematical behaviour.
why not simply roll the new unit back to V8.1?

just for giggles try a 9608 or any 9600 series phone to see if it works. Avaya may have caused another issue with them even though not supported did work.
Mike

sorry meant 9500 series been dealing with IP Phone issues lately.
Mike

We already tried the 1400 serie, then the same error occur. And again, we have the same problem on the Phone2 ports.

Did you reboot the system since the issue? I know dumb question but needs to be answered. Also you might try rolling back to R11SP2, SP4 is a nightmare.
Mike

The system is rebooted. If downgrading to R11SP2 is the only solution then we have to try that.
For now we placed a Digital16V2 and plugged the 5410 sets on this module.
