No dial tone on all sets with CS1K system ?

Hi all

Sometimes we got problem of no dial tone on all Ip sets connected to the CS1K system...when we reload the Call Server the issue was resolved...we have check for Call Server health but it seems be good.


Please what can cause this issue..??

I think yes..

But it was already working fine for 6 mounth, only in the last week the issue was appeared.

can be caused by patches..or there are others causes..?

I would be looking for a network issue if it just happened without warning. What kind of signal servers do you have? Do you have more than 1 signal server?
 
yes we have two Signalling Server..how network can cause this issue ?

 
I would think if the TLAN is some how dropping it would cause this issue. Are both of your signal servers set for LTPS so they can both register sets? I would think a patch could be the issue. That's usually the first place to look is to make sure the Call Server and Signal Server is patched current. Also make sure the loadware is current for the MGC and DSP resources. What kind of switch is this? 1000E, 1000M SG, or 1000M MG?







 
we are running CS1K Rls 7.0 with geographic redundancy...
 
Understand it's a CS1K but what kind? If it's a chassis/cabinet you will have MGC's with DSP resources that have loadware. If it's a 1000M you will have MC32 cards. If you go into LD 117 and do a "stat serv" command do you see both Signal servers and all the media cards? There should also be NRS set up to redirect the IP phones from the GR site to the main site? I'm sure this has already been done but if the issue just started then you need to see what has changed lately.

we have CS1000 chassis with MG1010 boxes, and MGCs card eqquiped with DSP daughterboard...the GR work correclty and the NRS is configured properly so it can redirect IP sets as well...

the issue was started 1 week ago...Im not sure if there is configuration changes because our customer also use "Element Manager" to manage their IP Sets but he didn't have require skills to modify advanced parameters of install&commissioning...but really Im not sure.
