Hi can anyone tell me if it's normal for no default smb.conf file to be created after installing samba v3.0.4.0 on AIX 5.1?

I would expect a default file to be placed somewhere but it definitely does not exist.

If this is normal does anyone know where the smb.conf file should be created? It exist in /usr/local/etc on other servers we have but they are running samba v2.2.7. This directory structure does not exist in v3.0.4.0 so I'm unsure where to create the file. After insatlling I now have a 'samba' directory under /usr/local....

I hope this makes sense!

Thansk in advance!

GM

It should be in /usr/local/samba/lib

Hope This Helps, PH.
