Hello Everyone,

This is an Excel 2003 question.

We are attempting to prevent decimals from being entered into spreadsheet. I know you can set a cell as currency with no decimal places and if a decimal and the coresponding cents are entered it will round up or down. I'm wondering if we can have excel produce an error or prohibit the cents from being entered all together.

The goal is to allow whole dollars only.

As always, thanks in advance.

from the menu...have a look at the 'validation' tool.

Thanks ETID. I did some searching in the help file and noticed it mentioning the 'Allow' box but did not know where to find it. It was under the validation tool. Very easy and just what we were looking for.

Cheers
