We have just upgraded from IPO 406 to 500 so I have also upgraded the phone manager clients to 4.2.41 we now have one user who cannot find the control unit when phone manager opens. I have checked the following and I am now stumped any help would be great.

No windows firewall
No VPN connection
Uninstalled
Deleted profiles
Deleted program folder
Cleaned Registry
Reinstalled
User can ping the control unit from the PC

We did try that and it still returns the same message and wont allow login.

Sounds like an anti virus that blocks it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I did think the same myself but we have a corporate anti virus so the user has an identical set up to myself and I have no issue.

restarted the IPO? Seen this where the ports that PM needs locks up.

Installed with a domain account?
DON'T!
Shutdown PC
Take out LAN cable
Start up PC
Login as local admin
reinstal the software
connect LAN
Verify working
reboot pc
login as domain user and test again
solved 100% of this issue for me

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Thanks for the suggestion we followed every step twice and ran a reg cleaner just to be sure and its still the same.
