I am having an issue where users "a" and "b" cannot call each other. Well they can call but there is no audio on pickup.

User a can call anyone else on the system fine and can receive calls.

Same with user b.

It only seems to occur when they call each other - any suggestions?

Phones 5224 / 5320

They are not. However there are multiple extensions on both subnets that are working fine.

DHCP. The phones are in two different physical locations but connect to the same mitel controller.

this is almost always a default gateway issue
can all the subnets ping the others default gateway?

Do you have any additional network level security software? Are they on the same site?

If I understand this correct these are the only phones on 2 subnets that cannot call eachother, other phone in those subnets CAN call eachother?
Then I would say, try defaulting your phones, go into the phone config, tools and feature, restore defaults. Maybe something was programmed staticly.

Mikecgy - It is important to know that the phones connect peer to peer once the call is answered. This is why it is important that they have the correct gateway info. Defaulting the phone seems like the best suggestion so far.

There are other diagnostic tools avail should this fail.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Agree default the phone. Once a call is established RTP packets stream directly between the two IP addresses of the phones.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

Unfortunately I have not had a chance to test this as we also happen to be in the middle of an office move but very much appreciate the suggestions and help. I will update the thread when I get a chance.
