We have Networked a release 4 IPO with a CM 5.2 via H.323 line and followed the Avaya supplied doc to a T. My IP routes and shortcodes are correct. We can get the calls to go through and connect but we don't have any audio on either end. We verified codecs were correct at each end and the customer doesn't have port 1720 blocked on the firewall. Is there a way to verify the IPO is using port 1720? If "Allow Direct Media Path" is selected, will this cause an issue. I ask that because we had it selected on once with VPN phones and we got one way audio.

Yes that will cause issues, this very issue in fact. Turn off direct media path :)

Or make it so that the handsets at each site have a valid gateway to reach the other sites handsets directly :)

Not it. I thought that was going to be the solve all but it didn't work. Any other thoughts?

Then you need to open up more ports, that one port isn't enough :)
