Hi,

Ive setup IP trunking between Cisco and avaya switches. All connections was fine except that it doesnt have audio on both sides.

Please give me some inputs how to resolve this.

Thanks

Are you getting audio on one side, but not another?

Are you using H.323 trunking or SIP trunking?

Did you make sure that you setup the system to do hairpinning? I'm not sure direct IP to IP would work between the two systems.

Hi dufus,

I dont have both audio but the calls will engage. Im using h.323 trunking.

Means I have to set ip to ip in the signaling group?

Thanks for helping me out.

I would ensure you have IP hairpinng set to yes. This will make certain the PBX does not try to let a phone on the Cisco network try to speak directly to a phone on the Avaya network. (Which is not likely to work well.)

FYI, in general "no audio" calls are the result of either a mismatched UDP port range between the 2 systems, or UDP traffic being blocked.

Check your "IP-Network-Region"'s UDP port range, and see if the CISCO is setup for the same range of UDP ports.

Also you need to make sure if there are any routers involve that they are also forwarding the UDP packets as well as TCP
