No AGP with GeForce 4 MX and DFI AK75-EC m/board

Any ideas on how to get AGP working correctly? when I run DXDiag it claims that AGP texture acceleration is not available and I'm getting very poor performance in games (especialy those Unreal Tournament)

My PC specs are:-
1.4 GHz AMD Athlon
256Mb PC133
DFI AK75-EC motherboard
Abit Siluro GeForce 4 MX
SB Live Value
Windows XP Pro

I have tried the latest Via 4in1 drivers (4.38) and the 28.32 Detonator drivers. I hav also tried using a Creative GeForce 2 card but still had the same problems.

After further investigation it seems that the AGP slot is running in PCI mode. On the GeForce 4 tab in the display properties it lists the bus type as AGP (PCI mode)the location in adapter properties is PCI bus 1.
