Hi all,

I made the mistake to install Kazaa in my machine and now I'm unable to access the Internet Options in Internet Explorer. The message says: "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator".

I AM the administrator on my machine !!! I removed Kazaa, scan for viruses, removed the spyware, upgraded to IE 6... no results.

Any hints would be appreciated.
OS: Win 2K
IE: 6.0 SP1

Thanks all

Gilles

Try these two registry edits:

(as always, it's best to back it up before you go editing...)

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte
rnet Explorer\Restrictions

Change value of "NoBrowserOptions" from 1 to 0

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte

rnet Explorer\Control Panel

Change value of "Homepage" from 1 to 0
