Loaded service pack 5 to fix a prolblem with my backup problem. After loading my license container in NWAdmin change and has question marks in front of them. Tried to reinstall license but did not fix the problem. If someone has seen this problem before pls send solution.

I'm confused. For NetWare 5, the latest SP is number 4. And no, I did not see that problem putting SP 4 over SP 2a....
Symptom
Grace logins show up after applying support pack

Licensing does not work after applying NW5SP4.

License connections reduced to two grace logins

Policy Manager Error: C0001005

Policy Manager Error: C0001002

Unable to browse certain netware directories when logged in as user ADMIN

Cause
. The problem is in the Policy Manager. When a connection gets into a state where it is using a grace license (for whatever reason), and the connection then goes away (either from logging out or from having been cleared from the connection table), then Policy Manager continues to attempt to get a license for the object that had the connection. This process will repeat every 5 minutes or until another object (user) is assigned to the same connection slot by the OS, in which case Policy Manager can recover. Restarting the server may will also make this go away, but does not always work.

Fix
Development is aware of the problem. The problem which is described above in the CAUSE section is purely cosmetic. The fix will be available with the next support pack, if and when it ships. However, in some cases the following may help work around the problem.

Do the following:

1) Run SETUPNLS at the server prompt. Put in your full admin context and password.

(Example: .admin.novell Password *****) and then if needed try step 2

2)Run DSREPAIR on the server that had NW5SP4 applied to it, then run the SETUPNLS utility. Verify that SETUPNLS completes successfully. (it will say SETUPNLS completed successfully)
